This majolica finished jardinière is done in the style of the Meissen factory, and makes a wonderful centre piece for any table.

The interior of the piece is rendered in a beautiful aquamarine glaze. The ground moves from earthen tones at the top towards a beautiful warm sandstone colour towards the base.

The rim and base are ormalu, in a Chinese style, pierced, as is the base, with four dragons mask pedestal feet. Flowers depicted are roses, anemone, campanella with leaves, tendrils and buds.

Notes
A beautiful piece which is in remarkable condition considering its age and the delicate quality of the work. I can see no damage at all. No attempt has been made to clean the ormalu.

No repairs, cleaning or renovations have been carried out by us.
